Accelerates Development of New AI Capabilities for C-UAS and Low-Altitude Air Defense as Part of the Company’s Advanced Air Defense C2 System

TSG, a company that develops advanced technological solutions for the defense and municipal sectors, continues to expand its activities. The company announces the acceleration of development of AI-based command and control capabilities C-UAS and  low-altitude air defense, which will be integrated into the company’s advanced air defense command and control (C2) system.

In response to the dramatic increase in aerial threats operating at very low altitudes, the company is accelerating the development of an advanced command and control component designed to protect airspace close to the ground. These capabilities will be integrated into TSG’s air defense C2 system.

In recent years, the aerial battlefield has been evolving rapidly. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), advanced drones, and cruise missiles are capable of flying at very low altitudes, often using buildings, terrain, or urban environments to avoid detection. This phenomenon makes the threat particularly challenging for traditional air defense systems.

The current reality highlights the need for new solutions. In current conflict, Israel is currently facing a wide range of low-altitude aerial threats from multiple directions including Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and other areas in the Middle East. Drone systems and unmanned aerial vehicles are becoming more accessible, more precise, and cheaper to operate, and are therefore becoming increasingly widespread.

The new capability, currently in an advanced stage of development, is expected to become a key component within TSG’s air defense C2 system for managing low-altitude air battles. The system is designed to integrate information from a wide range of sensors such as radars, radio-frequency detection systems, and electro-optical cameras, to create a unified and clear aerial situational picture for operators.

Using artificial intelligence and advanced data processing capabilities, the system will enable:

  • Fusion of information from multiple sensors into a single continuous and clear aerial picture

  • Detection and classification of threats such as drones, small aircraft, cruise missiles and other or suspicious targets

  • Threat assessment and prioritization based on proximity to protected assets and estimated intent

  • Generation of real-time operational recommendations for operators and interception systems

  • Battle management and activation of defensive measures such as jammers, interceptors, or other defense systems

  • Filtering of environmental noise and non-relevant objects, such as interceptor debris

The system is designed to be modular and scalable, allowing it to integrate into a wide range of defense architectures, from protection of critical infrastructure and sensitive sites to large-scale regional defense systems, while providing full integration with TSG’s air defense C2 system and with additional detection and interception systems.

Pini Yungman, President of TSG: “The new capability we are developing is intended to address one of the most complex challenges in today’s air defense environment: creating an accurate and reliable situational picture in a dense, sensor-saturated environment where decisions must be made within seconds. Integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into TSG’s advanced air defense C2 system will enable our customers to better cope with the challenges posed by low-altitude aerial threats. Solutions of this kind are expected to see increasing demand in the coming years, given the growing use of drones and unmanned aircraft in conflict zones around the world. Most threats ultimately descend to low altitude, including debris from interceptions in higher layers, helicopters, and aircraft, making this layer of air defense critically important.”

The development of these new capabilities represents another step in expanding the company’s activities in the field of advanced defense command and control systems and technologies.
